Bruno

A way too geometric typeface

BACK

The typeface was created with the intention of using it in the branding of a boutique agency that I planned to establish with a friend of mine. Whilst the agency never came about (for various reasons), the typeface did (sort of).

If the name doesn't give it away, the main source of inspiration was Square, Circle, Triangle by Bruno Munari, one of the greatest visual artists of the 20th-century.

I set myself a goal to create all the glyphs with fewer control points or nodes, whilst having a blocky and bold look. Whilst the typeface has the alphabet, numbers and a few other glyphs, I never got around to completing it, but I hope it will happen one day, as it is too cool to stay unfinished.
